The Agrawal family hails from a small town Risod in interior Maharashtra. From a humble beginning and a daring to dream big, Purushottam Agrawal along with his younger brother Madhusudan set up a small pharma unit, Ajanta Pharma. Despite achieving personal and professional success, they are in touch with their roots – not forgetting that they have been blessed so that they can share their blessings with less fortunate in the society.

Purushottam Agrawal is a pharmacy graduate from Nagpur University. As Chairman of Gencrest and Samta Mines, he is spearheading the group’s foray into biotechnology & mining. Over the course of 44 years, he has achieved many milestones in all aspects of his life, including philanthropy through Samta Foundation, an endeavor that strives to make onerous efforts towards the wellbeing of the underprivileged in rural India.

Madhusudan Agrawal proudly states that that he was educated in a school that conducted classes under a tree. He also fondly remembers times when the school was forced to give holidays because of rains. He was taught since early years the importance of giving back and has always helped & supported those in need and is a donor & Trustee of the Foundation. Recently, he had the distinct honor of being conferred & appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Uganda for the Western Zone of India.
Ravi Agrawal

Ravi is a Management Graduate and over the last 20 years has gained experience in Healthcare, Infra and Solar industry. He is currently heading the operations at Gencrest biotech venture and also involved with Mining and Infotech verticals. He firmly believes that giving back is a responsibility of each individual and is actively involved in the operations of Samta Foundation.
Richa Agrawal
Trustee.
Richa is a Commerce Graduate. She grew up in different parts of India and now lives in Mumbai.. which she proudly considers her ‘Home’ now. She also volunteers as an English Teacher and Spiritual Mentor at Angelxpress Foundation. Where kids from nearby slum areas and municipal schools get additional learning. Richa’s life Mantra is to keep giving and keep doing. Her family’s – “ Samta Foundation” gives her the right platform to work and contribute while making her own life meaningful.
