WHAT DOES THE FOUNDATION DO?
- Mannalal Agrawal Institute of Technology (MAIT) started operations in March 2018 in the town of Risod
- The objective of MAIT is to provide Computer Programming, Robotics and STEM (Science, Technology, and Engineering & Mathematics) courses at highly subsidized fees
- The Foundation developed a purpose-built building and it bears all the expenses related to trainers’ salaries and software packages.
- Through these courses, students also build their logical, analytical, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- Some of the differentiating aspects of MAIT are: Access to hands-on learning, well researched materials & comprehensive training programs and enhancement of employability.
- In addition, Computer Education and Dress Designing Courses are also being provided.
HOW IT STARTED?
Mr. Agrawal felt the equal need of quality educational facilities in Risod, his township of birth. Seeing his grandson, Anav’s keen interest in Robotics as a career stream, he believed that this field need not remain limited to urban children and with the provision of right resources it could be made available to rural children as well. This saw him conceptualise & launch Mannalal Agrawal Institute of Technology (MAIT) to provide subsidized training in the areas of Programming, Robotics, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). Students will have the opportunity to participate in various competitions enhancing their learning and interaction skills.
